The creation of simplistic drawings led to the invention of a written language. Our lives are sculpted by the information we covered today. Evolution of text and font families has created the world we live. Without Guttenburg and the printing press the idea of newspapers or magazines would not be possible. Needless to say our education would not be at the level it is and the technology that we have at our fingertips would not be possible either. In Graphic design typefaces are one of the most important elements if not the most important element. I found the concept of ype creating a modern world to be very intriguing. Type is something that is viewed by people all over the world everyday and the ideas of how those letters arrived doesn't get to much discussion. This information should be learned by everyone not just Graphic design students.
